For most parents, 'tis the season of worrying about putting on some weight. For kids, 'tis the season for mouthwatering desserts! However, the holiday season does not need to be unhealthy for the whole family.
There are plenty of healthy, all-natural, sugar-free, and gluten-free recipes out there that will make you and your kids want more. Below are three of the healthiest and delicious Christmas dessert recipes that are going to please your little ones minus the guilt of course.
Paleo Twix Pie Recipe
You don't want your kids to miss out on all the candy fun that Christmas brings. This Twix pie has combined everything they love - caramel, chocolate, and pie crust in one decadent dessert that you've got to try!
Its shortbread crust is topped with dark chocolate and oozing caramel. You can even make it into indulgent chocolate bars using an 8 x 8-inch pan. It's even better than a candy bar.

Ingredients
Crust:
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/2 cup arrowroot powder
- 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Caramel:
- 1/3 cup coconut cream
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar
Chocolate topping:
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven at 350 degrees.
- Combine all the crust ingredients in a large bowl.
- Press the dough into a well-greased pie plate or 8×8 baking dish
- Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust has just barely started to brown. Let it cool.
- While crust is cooling heat the ingredients for the caramel in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Allow to come to a boil and reduce heat to low.
- Stirring frequently, allow caramel to simmer for 15-20 minutes until it starts to thicken
- Remove from heat and allow to cool for another 15-20 minutes.
- Once the caramel sauce has slightly cooled, pour it into the prepared cookie crust.
- Refrigerate until caramel firms up. Once it is firm melt together the chocolate chips and coconut oil.
- Spread chocolate over caramel layer.
- Refrigerate until chocolate layer has set up for about 5-10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Dairy-Free Raspberry Cream Bars
Who doesn't love cream cheese? You will not believe that these raspberry cream cheese bars are that healthy! This sumptuous dessert contains almost 0% sugar and jam-packed with healthy fats to fuel the brain. Your children and even your husband will not be able to resist these on Christmas morning. And the best thing about it? It's very simple to make.

Ingredients
Crust:
- 1/2 cup raw pecans
- 1/2 cup soft Medjool dates pitted
Cashew filling:
- 2 cups soaked cashews to make: soak in hot water for 1 hour until soft.
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons water
Raspberry filling:
- 6 tablespoons raspberry jam you can also use strawberry jam or fresh fruit for a paleo option!
- Whipped Cream Topping
- 1 can full-fat coconut milk chilled
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4-6 drops stevia liquid
Toppings:
- Pecan pieces
- Arrowroot flour for powdered sugar effect
Instructions:
- Combine the ingredients for the cashew filling in your blender. Use the tamper tool to move the cashews around the inside of the blender to ensure even and thorough combining. Blend until completely smooth.
- In a food processor, combine the ingredients for the crust and pulse until the mixture breaks down and forms small granules that stick together.
- Line an 8 x 4 inches pan with parchment paper. Add the crust mixture, spread it out evenly in the pan, and then press down.
- Evenly spread the cashew filling over the crust and smooth down.
- Add the raspberry preserves or fresh fruit in over the cashew filling.
- To make the coconut whipped cream take a can of chilled full-fat canned coconut milk and scrape the solid cream off the top. Put the coconut cream in a bowl with the vanilla and stevia then ship with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Top the bars off with whipped coconut cream, cashew pieces, and arrowroot powder for powdered sugar effect.

- Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
