New Boikido Toys In-Store!
Posted by KindtoKidz on Jul 23, 2015
Some new Boikido toys have arrived in-store and we're really excited!
One of our favourites is the new toy chest (available here). We've never seen anything like it before! It has wheels to make cleaning up easy (kids will love wheeling it around at clean up time), as well as two different maze activities on the sides of the chest.
It's bright and colourful with a touch of whimsical. It's great for storing things like blocks, soft toys and other bits and pieces that need a good home.
If you'd like to know more about who created such an awesome toy, read on below as we delve a little into the great company behind this creation.
MORE ABOUT BOIKIDO
- Boikido is a French company that was founded in 2003 by a group of designers who met in art school and dreamed of creating a line of toys inspired from their own childhood dreams.
- Many of their toys, in addition to being fun and colourful, have an educational component. They also design a very popular range of musical toys.
- Boikido toys are all made from wood (no plastic!) with simple designs that inspire imagination and creativity, whilst reducing impact on the environment at the same time.
- Boikido produces a line of FSC certified toys that use water based paints and recycled packaging printed with soy bean inks. We hope that they move in the direction of producing ALL their toys in this way in the very near future.
- Every toy is rigorously tested to exceed toy safety requirements. They meet European (EN71) and Australian safety standards.
- Boikido products are only ever manufactured in factories that carry an ICTI social awareness certificate; this is the toy industry’s ethical manufacturing program which is aimed at ensuring a safe and humane workplace environment for all toy factory workers.
