When choosing based on age, we can loosely classify children into three main age groups based on general developmental abilities: Toddlers (aged 1-3), Kindergarten/Pre-schoolers (aged 3-5) and Primary Schoolers (aged 6-12) . Toddlers

Toddlerhood occurs roughly between the ages 1-3. It comes from the word 'toddle' which means to walk unsteadily, which is one of the defining features of a toddler! This period is one of magnified change and growth, with the need for toddlers to explore the world around them.

Schema's are one way of understanding early childhood behaviours. Through these repetitive behaviours, children learn new skills and solidify neural connections in their brain.
